The Guyver's near-invulnerability is a defining trait, but it is not absolute. The Control Metal, a component of the bio-booster armor, is the unit's singular critical vulnerability. As long as this part remains intact, the Guyver can rebuild the host from the data it stores within. However, if the Control Metal is critically damaged, the host will be consumed alive by the unit and perish. This knowledge weighs heavily on Shō Fukamachi, who must constantly protect this weak point while fighting the forces of Cronos.

In Their Own Story

Shō Fukamachi accidentally activated the Guyver unit, which then painfully merged with him. Over time, he learned more about the Guyver and its abilities, including the critical nature of the Control Metal. The knowledge that a single, well-placed strike could cause the armor to turn on him and devour him alive is a constant source of dread. This vulnerability forces Shō to fight not only to protect his friends and family from Cronos but also to ensure his own survival against an enemy that knows exactly where to strike.

The Control Metal is the only weak point of the Guyver armor. If it is critically damaged, the host will be eaten alive by the unit and perish. The Strategic Siege and Internal Fracture

In the winter of 69 CE, following a period of turmoil within Rome itself, General Titus returned to Judaea commanding a massive force of at least 48,000 soldiers. This army included four full legions alongside auxiliary units, which systematically encircled Jerusalem by springtime. The city's population had swelled dramatically due to an influx of refugees and pilgrims arriving for Passover, creating severe overcrowding within the fortified walls. Compounding this external pressure was intense internal strife; rival factions led by John of Gischala, Simon bar Giora, and Eleazar ben Simon engaged in brutal infighting that decimated food supplies and weakened defensive capabilities. Although these leaders eventually united to mount a fierce resistance against the Roman advance, their prior discord had already compromised the city's ability to endure a prolonged blockade. The Romans ultimately breached the perimeter walls, forcing the Jewish defenders to retreat into the sacred Temple precincts, where the final, desperate stages of the conflict would unfold.

During the summer month of Av, corresponding to July or August in the modern calendar, Roman forces successfully captured the Temple Mount and proceeded to destroy the Second Temple. This catastrophic event remains a central tragedy in Jewish history, commemorated annually on Tisha B'Av as a day of mourning. Following the fall of the sanctuary, the rest of Jerusalem surrendered by early September, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths through execution, enslavement, or displacement.
